Finally fall is in the air in
Umbria.
The wind is blowing like crazy,
yellow leaves are falling in showers.
I see old men in quilted jackets
opening large iron gates.
There are many little dogs on
leashes, some big dogs too.
I put tiny clementini
(tangerines) inside the pockets of my girl’s school backpacks.
They are so delicious I could
eat 10 at a time.
We heat up apple juice and add
cinnamon.
Then of course we are always
lighting candles and frothing cappuccini.
The days are getting darker.
